Search leads to arrest


CAMDEN COUNTY - Two people have been arrested in a narcotics arrest last week involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

Last Monday (March 25) members of the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG), the Camden County Sheriff's Department (CCSD) the Missouri State Highway Patrol, The Department of Homeland Security and the United States Postal Service, executed a controlled delivery of narcotics to a residence in Sunrise Beach.

After the controlled delivery was completed, search warrants were executed at three addresses in connection with this investigation in Sunrise Beach.

As a result, officers seized large quantities of Xanax as well as Suboxone, GHB, Marijuana and LSD, according to the CCSD.

Rachel Marie Tapp, 31, of Sunrise Beach and Danny Ray Ramsey Jr., 29, of Gravois Mills, were taken into custody.

Tapp has been charged with three felonies:

• Trafficking Drugs Or Attempt- 1st Degree-Over Statutory Amount
• Two counts of Delivery Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana Or Synthetic Cannabinoid

Bond was set at $50,000.00 Cash.

Ramsey Jr. has also been charged with three felonies:

• Trafficking Drugs Or Attempt- 1st Degree
• Two counts of Delivery Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana Or Synthetic Cannabinoid.

Both were transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Center.
