200 calls for Osage Beach Fire District in January

OSAGE BEACH - During January 2025, the Osage Beach Fire Protection District (OBFPD) responded to 200 incidents. The breakdown for the 200 incidents is as follows:

• 132 Medical Emergencies
• 13 Motor Vehicle Accidents/Extrication
• 12 Cancelled En Route
• 11 Public Service Assistance
• 8 Smoke, Water, Wiring or Odor Problem
• 6 Structure Fires
• 5 Cover Assignment, Standby, Move-Up
• 5 False Alarm
• 5 Natural Vegetation/Outside Fire
• 1 Combustible/Flammable spill & leak, Hazmat Related
• 1 Search/Rescue Lost Person
• 1 Vehicle Fire

For the incidents in January 2025 this averages to 6.5 calls per day.

OBFPD covers 105 square miles out of two manned fire stations 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

The average response time in January was 7 minutes 2 seconds. There were a total of 29 overlapping incidents meaning more than one incident was happening at the same time period.

During this same time period in 2024, OBFPD responded to 197 incidents for the month of January.
