Nine agencies respond to Lake Ozark house fire

LAKE OZARK – A structure fire fueled by high winds resulted in nine fire districts responding to the scene last week.

Last Wednesday at 2:23 p.m., the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Trillium Lane.

First units on the scene discovered a home with heavy fire in the rear of the structure.

Due to high winds, the fire moved rapidly through the structure and ignited several natural cover fires away from the home.

Two other homes experienced fires that were quickly extinguished by on-scene firefighters.

Both residents of the home were on hand when the fire started but were able to escape without any injuries.

The Lake Ozark Fire Protection District was assisted on scene by the following:

Miller County Ambulance also responded to the scene

The Missouri Division of Fire Safety has been requested to investigate the cause of the fire which is believed to have started in the lower level of the home.

Lake Ozark firefighters remained on the scene to monitor the area and what remained of the structure due to high winds and difficulty accessing the home.
