Osage Beach looks to raise water, sewer rates

OSAGE BEACH - The city is looking to raise the water and sewer rates early next year and will be holding a Public Hearing regarding the proposed rate schedule changes on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. during the regularly scheduled Board of Aldermen meeting at City Hall.

The proposed rates, which were presented to the Board of Aldermen last month, are available for review on the city’s website.

The Board of Aldermen will consider the First Readings of the applicable bills following this Public Hearing. If approved, the new rates would take effect on March 1, 2026.

The city says it regularly reviews its fee schedules to ensure it continues providing the high level of service customers expect.

Due to rising operational costs, inflationary pressures and the need for long-term sustainability, a minimal adjustment to the city’s water and sewer utility rates is necessary to maintain infrastructure and reliable services for all residents and businesses.

For most customers inside city limits, the monthly combined water and sewer bill increase is projected to be less than $5.00.

Furthermore, the city claims the combined water and sewer service cost remains highly affordable, averaging less than two cents per gallon of water usage.
