Two ejected when vehicle rolls over
LAKE OF THE OZARKS – Three people were seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident on Sunday August 24.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) at 9:39 a.m. on Route D near Route JJ in Morgan County, a 2003 Toyota Echo was being driven south by a 32-year-old female from Sedalia, MO, when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and overturned ejecting the driver and the back seat passenger, who were not wearing seat belts.
A third passenger who was in the front seat ended up being trapped in the vehicle.

The vehicle was totaled in the crash.
The MSHP refused to release the names of those involved.
A two-vehicle accident the next day at 2:52 p.m. sent one to the hospital.
A 2016 Toyota RAV4 was being driven by a 62-year-old female from Camdenton, MO, south on Business Route 5 in Camdenton at S&W Gas when she attempted to turn left.
At that time another southbound vehicle, a 1999 Buick Park Avenue, driven by a 70-year-old male also from Camdenton, MO, came up behind the Toyota and failed to stop in time.
The female driver had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The Toyota had minor damage and the Park Avenue moderate damage.
The MSHP refused to release the names of those involved.
Last Tuesday a 21-year-old male from Gravois Mills, MO, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 east on Route MM east of Koviak Drive in Camden County, when the driver swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway.
He ended up going off the right side of the road and hitting a tree.
He suffered minor injuries and sought medical attention by private vehicle. His Chevrolet had extensive damage.
The MSHP refused to release the name of the driver.
A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a minivan left one man with serious injuries.
According to the MSHP, last Thursday at 3:40 p.m., a 2009 Yamaha V Star 1100, driven by a 42-year-old Climax Springs man was traveling south on Bollinger Creek Road, north of Crainshaw in Camden County when the motorcycle crossed the center of the road and hit an oncoming 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by a 67-year-old male also from Climax Springs, MO, head-on.
The motorcycle driver suffered serious injuries and was flown by MU Air Care to University Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet but the driver of the minivan did have his seat belt on.
The motorcycle was totaled and the minivan had minor damage.
The MSHP refused to release the names of those involved.
Another head-on collision occurred last Thursday at 5:04 p.m. on Bagnell Dam in Miller County.
A 53-year-old man from Andalisia, FL, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet 3500 south and pulled onto the roadway from the shoulder hitting a northbound 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage, driven by 44-year-old male from Eldon, MO, head-on.
The 44-year-old male had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The Mitsubishi was totaled and the Chevrolet 3500 had minor damage.
The MSHP refused to release the names of those involved.
A two-vehicle accident last Friday at 4:04 p.m. left a Sunrise Beach Woman with minor injuries.
A 2012 Toyota Camry, driven by a 26-year-old female from Sunrise Beach, MO, was northbound on Highway 7 south of Route EE, when she came upon another northbound vehicle, a 2013 Nissan Titan, and failed to stop hitting the Titan in the rear end.
The Toyota driver had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The Nissan had minor damage and the Toyota was totaled.
The MSHP refused to release the names of those involved.
A single vehicle accident later that same day (8:24 p.m.) injured six juveniles.
According to the MSHP, a 2025 Ford Transit 3500, driven by a 24-year-old male from Humansville, MO, was traveling north at the junction of Highway 7 and Route T in Camden County, when the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, went across the road, hit a sign and a tree and overturned.
All of the injured had minor injuries and they were:

Last Saturday at 1:31 a.m. a man was injured while fleeing from law enforcement.
A 34-year-old male from East St. Louis, MO, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze east on Horseshoe Bend Parkway at Black Hawk Estates when he drove off the right side of the road, hit a sign and a ditch and caught on fire.
He received minor injuries and was taken by Law Enforcement to Lake Regional Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was totaled in the crash.

About 12 hours later (1:00 p.m.) another single vehicle wreck sent one to the hospital.
A 2016 Kubota RTV900 (an ATV) was being driven by a 70-year-old male from Lees Summit, MO, east on Raven road in Rocky Mount (Morgan County) when he lost control while trying to back up a trailer causing the Kubota to travel down an embankment and overturn.
He suffered minor injuries and was taken by EMS to Lake Regional Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle had minor damage.
The MSHP refused to release the name of the driver.
