Officers awarded commendations

CAMDENTON - Mayor John McNabb issued letters of commendations to the city police officers following the manhunt and eventual apprehension of a felon within the City of Camdenton on June 11.

The commendations went to Officer Jessica Baughman, Officer Jamee Rugen, Officer Todd Bithell, Officer Brian Schroeder, Mayor John McNabb, Police Chief Jeffrey Beauchamp, Lieutenant Richard Sansom, Sergeant Christopher Rector and Officer Kyle Wood.

The letter of commendation read in part:

“I am writing to formally commend the outstanding performance and unwavering dedication demonstrated by yourself and other officers involved in the successful apprehension of a felon following an extensive and challenging manhunt.

“The tireless efforts, sharp investigative skills, and coordinated teamwork were instrumental in ensuring that a dangerous individual was brought to justice without harm to the public or fellow officers. The courage and professionalism displayed throughout this operation are a true testament to the values and integrity upheld by the department.

“This operation not only reinforces public confidence in law enforcement but also highlights the exceptional capabilities and commitment of each officer. The perseverance and vigilance reflect great credit upon yourself, the department, and the entire law enforcement community. Your actions exemplify the highest standards of public service, and I commend you for your exemplary performance in the line of duty.”
