Four people arrested for mail, package thefts
MILLER COUNTY – Four people have been arrested in connection to thefts of mail and packages.
Last week the Miller County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) released information on the arrests which took place on Friday November 1.
The four individuals are believed to be responsible for thefts from Miller, Camden and Morgan counties.
On Saturday, November 2, Miller County Deputies with the assistance of the Eldon Police Department executed a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of North Mill St.
During that search, deputies said they located multiple items believed to have been stolen from area mailboxes and porches.
The following individuals have been charged by the Miller County Prosecutor’s Office as part of this investigation:
Tammy Schnieders, 48, of Eldon, MO. was charged with one count of Forgery (Felony) one count of stealing postal or delivery items (Felony) and one count of possession of a controlled substance (Felony).
She was taken to the Miller County Adult Detention Center with a total bond of $60,000.
Rose Cooper, 57, of Eldon, MO, was charged with two counts of stealing postal or delivery items (Felony). She was also taken to the Miller County Adult Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
Deborah Holloway, 51, of Eldon, MO, was charged with one count of Forgery (Felony) and one count of stealing postal or delivery items (Felony). She was taken to the Miller County Adult Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
Richard Schnieders, 51, of Eldon, MO, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance (Felony).
He was taken to the Miller County Adult Detention Center and given a $25,000 bond.
“This is a multi-jurisdictional investigation, and we are working closely with surrounding agencies and the United States Postal Inspector,” said a MCSO spokesman. “Additional charges are expected to be filed as the case develops and more victims are identified.”
Anyone who believes they have been a victim of mail theft within the last couple of months is urged to contact the Miller County Sheriff’s Office at 573-369-2341 or their local agency to file a report.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
