Three arrested in two separate incidents

CAMDEN COUNTY – Three people have been arrested in two separate busts, one for drugs and one for theft.

(Editor’s note: The first incident was not released to the press until last Tuesday, September 4.)

On August 31, Camden County Deputies and Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Car Lane in Camdenton.

According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Department (CCSD) deputies seized methamphetamine, Suboxone, assorted prescription medication, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Steven M. Clark, 34, of Camdenton, MO, was arrested and charged with five counts of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $1,000 cash only bond. Clark paid the bond and was released on September 1.

Last Tuesday (September 4) two people were arrested in connection with stealing.

On that day, CCSD deputies responded to a residence in the Montreal area to execute a search warrant. The warrant was the result of an ongoing burglary investigation.

According to the CCSD, while at the residence, deputies located two individuals who had active warrants. Deputies also located several items which were known to be stolen which resulted in the search warrant.

Multiple stolen tools from several area burglaries were recovered.

Macie S. Jenkins, 25, from Warsaw, MO (the Missouri courts list her residence in this case as Camdenton, MO) was arrested for misdemeanor Receiving Stolen Property with a bond of $2,000 cash only.

Lucas E. Newman, 31, of Montreal, MO, (the Missouri courts lists his residence also as Camdenton, MO) was arrested on two felony failure to appear warrants for property damage and stealing with no bond.

In May of this year, Newman had been charged with the following:

• Burglary - 2nd Degree
• Stealing - $750 Or More
• Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid
• Unlawful Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia

The warrant was issued on August 29 along with the other warrant for the following charges from March of this year:

• Stealing - $750 Or More
• Property Damage 1st Degree

Both individuals remain at the Camden County Detention Center with more charges expected, a CCSD spokesman said.
