Fugitive arrested

(Editor’s note: Though this incident happened on Wednesday July 31, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office did not release this information until last Tuesday, August 6).

CAMDEN COUNTY – A Macks Creek man is in jail after allegedly fleeing police on a motorcycle.

On Wednesday July 31 at approximately 2:00 a.m., a deputy from the Camden County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) observed a subject at a local Camdenton restaurant parking lot on a white Honda motorcycle who he believed to have a fugitive warrant.

According to the CCSO, as the officer approached the subject, he fled on the motorcycle, leading deputies on a lengthy high speed pursuit.

The subject was identified as Brandon Lee Jensen, 30, of Macks Creek, MO.

Jensen eventually lost control of the motorcycle when he attempted to drive down a very steep, rocky path, located off Y Road in Camden County.

A slight foot pursuit ensued and Jensen was taken into custody.

The CCSO said that Jensen was found to be in possession of a sawed-off shotgun and methamphetamine.

Along with the fugitive warrant, Jensen has been charged with the following:

• Unlawful Possession, Transport, Manufacture, Repair Or Sale Of Illegal Weapon
• Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid
• Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop By Fleeing - Creating A Substantial Risk Of Serious Injury/Death To Any Person
• Unlawful Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia - Prior Drug Offense

Jensen is being held at the Camden County Adult Detention Center, No Bond on the Fugitive Warrant and a $250,000 Surety Bond on the additional Camden County charges.

A hearing is scheduled for September 16 in front of Judge Aaron Koeppen.
