Man busted for Ecstasy, Cocaine, out on bond
CAMDEN COUNTY – An East St. Louis, IL man has found himself in jail after a drug investigation.
On Saturday July 6, after a drug investigation, Elricko Mosley, 35 of Cahokia, Illinois (Editor’s note: Case.Net shows that he lives in East St. Louis, IL) was arrested in the area of Bittersweet and Sweet William Road in Lake Ozark.
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office said that Mosley was in possession of over 77.5 grams of Ecstasy and in excess of 33 grams of Cocaine.
Mosley was taken into custody and transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Center. Mosley was formally charged with:
• Trafficking Drugs Or Attempt- 1st Degree-Over Statutory Amount
• Trafficking Drugs Or Attempt- 1st Degree
Both charges are Felonies.
Mosely was initially being held on a $150,000 surety bond (no cash bond allowed).
At the initial appearance last Wednesday, July 10, The State voiced their objection to bond reduction. Factors considered by the Court were:
1) Defendant is an out of state resident.
2) Criminal history and nature of charges which include Forgery, Receiving stolen vehicle and possession of controlled substance.
Based on these factors the Court found that bond should remain unchanged and that the bond conditions are the least restrictive for the protection of the community.
However, during the Bond Hearing, The State was in agreement to modification of bond. The bond was modified to $5,000 surety.
Mosley then advised the court that he has means to post bond.
His $5,000 Surety Bond was posted on July 11 by Dave Vinson Bail Bonds.
Another hearing is scheduled for August 19 before Judge Gilley.
