The bridge on Business Park Road in Linn Creek will be replaced later this summer. The bridge (top) was built in 1930. In 2008 a piece of the bridge fell through to the ground below leaving a gaping hole with only the rebar showing (Insert photo). The Missouri Department of Transportation came out and repaired the hole (Top photo courtesy MoDOT, middle and bottom photo Reporter file photo)

MoDOT will replace Linn Creek bridge
JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has
approved a contract to replace the bridge on Business Park Road over Linn Creek
in the industrial area of Linn Creek in Camden County.
E and C Bridge was awarded the contract after submitting the low bid of
$1,063,874.
The structure is a reinforced concrete bridge with one main span and was built
in 1930.
A hole appeared in the span of the bridge in 2008 forcing closure of the bridge
until MoDOT could repair it. The concrete fell away from the bridge leaving a
hole with only the rebar showing.
Work is expected to begin later this summer, though a specific start date has
not been set. When that date is established, The Missouri Department of
Transportation (MoDOT) will alert the public about the project through signs,
news releases and social media.
