More arrests in thefts
MILLER COUNTY – More arrests have been made in a series of recent burglaries in the county, thanks to efforts from various law enforcement agencies.
“During the investigations, officers have developed information that has led to the arrest of multiple suspects and the recovery of stolen property in the last few weeks,” Gregoire said.
On December 13, the Miller County Sheriff’s Department (MCSD) executed a search warrant at the residence of David Florez of Iberia.
According to the MCSD, during a search of the property officers found and seized illegal drugs and firearms that were present in the home. Florez was arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and four counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
On Monday December 17, the MCSD executed another search warrant at the residence of Bruce Maylee in Iberia.
“During the search of the property, officers found and seized illegal drugs and firearms that were present in the home,” said Sheriff Gregoire. “Items also seized included a stolen motorcycle and stolen truck found on the property.”
During the search warrant, Dana Henderson was taken into custody and charged with delivering a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and conspiracy possession of a controlled substance.
Maylee was charged with conspiracy delivery of a controlled substance, conspiracy possession of a controlled substance, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, and two counts of receiving stolen property with the possibility of additional charges to come.
The MCSD stated that during the investigation, numerous items were seized including over 100 firearms, multiple stolen vehicles, and illegal narcotics.
“I would like to acknowledge and thank the following law enforcement agencies for their un-measurable work and continued support during these investigations. Mid-Missouri Multi-Jurisdictional Taskforce, ATF, Missouri Highway Patrol, Missouri National Guard Counterdrug unit and Mustang Drug Taskforce,” Gregoire said.
