Hamilton arrested in Arkansas

MORGAN COUNTY – A man wanted for allegedly shooting another in the face has been arrested in Arkansas.

The incident happened on December 28 when Morgan County Deputies arrived on the scene of a shooting and found a male subject with a gunshot wound to his face.

He was transported to a Jefferson City hospital in stable condition and was able to identify the shooter, the MCSD said. Revious L Hamilton Jr., 50, was identified by the victim as the shooter.

The MCSD described how the incident unfolded:

Hamilton lives across the street from the victim and apparently started verbally assaulting the victim and then fired several rounds from a handgun at the victim.

“On the afternoon of January 8, 2019 we developed information on a possible location of Revious Hamilton,” said Morgan County Sheriff Norman Dills. “It appeared that Hamilton was in the Bald Knob Arkansas area. We immediately contacted the White County Arkansas Sheriff’s Office and provided them with this information along with the warrant and photos of Hamilton.”

White County Arkansas was able to identify Revious Hamilton along with another subject on video surveillance at a business in Bald Knob.

White County was familiar with the other subject and was able to locate him and he provided the address where Hamilton was currently located. Deputies then responded to that location and took Hamilton into custody without incident.

Hamilton is currently being held in the White County Arkansas Detention Center and will be extradited back to Morgan County.

“The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office followed up on all information received from the onset of this investigation and dedicated countless hours to the apprehension of Hamilton,” Dills said. “Deputies, Officers, and Troopers conducted several building, ground and two aerial searches as well as saturation patrols in the days since the incident.”

Hamilton is facing the following charges:

• Assault - 1st Degree Or Attempt
• Armed Criminal Action
• Unlawful Use of Weapon
• Unlawful Possession of A Firearm

No Bond is allowed for Hamilton on these charges.
